Meet the Liaison

Meet our Family & Community Partnership Liaison…

Kristin Llewellyn is native to northeast Ohio, where she has served the community for nearly 10 years in the field of social work and advocacy in her previous employment with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Ohio and Lake County Prosecutor’s Office.  Ms. Llewellyn cultivated her interest in working with students because of her own personal academic struggles to become educated.  Llewellyn went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Human Services from Lakeland Community College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work form Youngstown State University.

Ms. Llewellyn underwent additional professional development opportunities with the O.D.E. and The Ohio Statewide Family Engagement Center at The Ohio State University in order to be effective in her role as a liaison.

She has additional expertise in areas of school based & community programming, at-risk youth, prevention, victim services, trauma informed care & crisis intervention.   Areas of emphasis that Ms. Llewellyn specializes in within her role are community outreach and family engagement.

Ms. Llewellyn aspires to use both her personal and professional experiences to be impactful working with students, families and the community within her role as the Family and Community Liaison with the ESCWR.
