Kristin Llewellyn is native to northeast Ohio, where she has served the community for nearly 10 years in the field of social work and advocacy in her previous employment with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Ohio and Lake County Prosecutor’s Office. Ms. Llewellyn cultivated her interest in working with students because of her own personal academic struggles to become educated. Llewellyn went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Human Services from Lakeland Community College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work form Youngstown State University.
Ms. Llewellyn underwent additional professional development opportunities with the O.D.E. and The Ohio Statewide Family Engagement Center at The Ohio State University in order to be effective in her role as a liaison.
She has additional expertise in areas of school based programming, working with at-risk youth, prevention topics, victim services, trauma informed care, crisis intervention, mental health first aide, community outreach, as well as a vast knowledge facilitating multi-disciplinary professional trainings.
Ms. Llewellyn aspires to use both her personal and professional experiences to be impactful working with students, families and the community within her role as the Family and Community Partnership Liaison with the ESC of the WR.
