Who: Parents, Guardians and Teachers
What: Whether moving from elementary to middle school or taking the step into high school, transitions are a time of high stress for students and their families. Young people are trying to fit in, make new friends, and meet higher academic expectations but as adults we can support them during times of change. In this presentation, teachers and families will learn about integrated student support concepts like The Roller Coaster of Change, goal-setting, and how to foster a growth mindset. Participants will also identify how to create a safe space for important conversations and what signs to look for that might indicate your child needs additional support to navigate their transition.
