Description: School administrators, educators, counselors, psychologists, social workers, school resource officers, and community partners are invited to a special screening of Can't Look Away, a compelling documentary that explores the profound effects of social media on youth mental health, safety, and development.
Following the film, attendees will hear from a panel of experts and advocates who will provide insight into the challenges facing young people today, including the influence of social media, youth mental health concerns, substance use risks, and the role of schools and community agencies in prevention and intervention efforts.
Panelists include Amy Neville, parent advocate and national speaker; Dan Radigan of the Mentor Police Department; Dr. Michael Redovian, Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist and Central Regional Medical Director at Akron Children's Hospital; and Prosecutor Emily Zirm.
This event offers an opportunity for professionals working with youth to deepen their understanding of emerging risks, strengthen collaborative approaches to student well-being, and engage in meaningful discussion about how schools and communities can better support and protect young people.
