Mathematics classrooms are full of students with diverse backgrounds and varying levels of prior education. Students need engagement, collaboration, and reflection to help take ownership of their learning and develop independent mathematical and problem-solving skills.
Audience:
- Grades K-8 Math Teachers
- Instructional Coaches/Consultants
- Curriculum Directors
- 9-12 Teachers are welcome!
What this session provides:
- Participants will help students learn important math skills through fun activities while building a positive regard for mathematics.
- Explore the value of math games to encourage mental problem-solving and communication skills
- Playful exploration and skill practice
