The August/September edition of the Gaitway High School Newsletter is now available, celebrating the start of a new school year and Gaitway High School’s 20th anniversary.

The September edition of the Rise Above Lake and Geauga Newsletter recognizes National Recovery Month and highlights the importance of recovery, hope, healing, and community support.
This month’s issue includes information about substance use disorders, ways individuals and communities can support recovery, and helpful resources addressing topics such as teen drinking, suicide prevention, and reducing substance use among young people.

Parent Café: A Free Opportunity for Families to Connect, Learn & Grow
ESCWR, in partnership with Sylvan Learning of Mentor, is pleased to offer a four-part Parent Café series designed to give parents and caregivers a welcoming space to connect with one another, talk through common parenting challenges, and leave with practical strategies they can use at home.
Each session will focus on a different topic:

October 30: Building Strong Relationships with Your Children

November 6: Help Your Children Stand Up Straight and Tall

November 13: Building a Winning Team — Helping Your Child Succeed in School

November 20: Goal Setting... It’s Just Within Your Reach
All sessions will be held from 12:00–1:30 p.m. at Sylvan Learning of Mentor, 7271 Center Street, Mentor.
Complimentary lunch is provided.
Free, supervised childcare is available during each session.
Registration is required.
