Ohio's 2024 Business-Education Leader Awards for Excellent Business Advisory Councils (BACs)

On February 26th, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Lt. Governor Jon Husted, and Ohio Department of Education Workforce Director Stephen D. Dackin announced Ohio's 2024 Business-Education Leader Awards for Excellent Business Advisory Councils. These awards recognize Business Advisory Councils (BACs) in Ohio that have demonstrated exceptional work in building partnerships to develop professional skills for future careers and coordinating experiences for students. The awards are given to BACs that are rated two, three, or four stars based on their performance. We were awarded Ohio's 2-star Business Advisory Council award. View the complete article here. Business Advisory Council Business Bootcamp

You do not want to miss this opportunity to network with local business leaders, tour nearby industries, and gain resources to provide career support and workforce development to your students. Register a team from your district to take part in this 3-day series. Bootcamp attendees will: review student data showing a disconnect to future pathways beyond graduation, hear from local business leaders about career opportunities available for students, experience tours of businesses to gain awareness of employment opportunities, benefit from receiving insight into what each potential employer has to offer, receive resources to implement and support career awareness curriculum to student. Lunch will be provided each day. CEU’s and Graduate Credit hours are available through Lake Erie College. Register here.
